Winnipeg's Authorized Generac Dealer for Sales, Installation & Warranty
Electric 2000 Ltd. is Manitoba's authorized Generac dealer and warranty provider for whole-home standby generators. We sell, size, install, and service Generac generators for homes and businesses across Winnipeg and surrounding communities - and we're the only company in the province authorized to provide Generac warranty service for air-cooled, liquid-cooled, and diesel units.
If you're looking for a Generac generator in Winnipeg, you've found the right place.

Why Buying from an Authorized Generac Dealer Actually Matters
Not every electrician who installs a Generac is authorized by Generac. That distinction matters more than most people realize.
When you buy and install through an authorized dealer like Electric 2000, your Generac warranty is fully intact - and when you need warranty service, we can handle it directly. If your generator was purchased elsewhere or installed by a non-authorized contractor, warranty claims can become complicated, time-consuming, and sometimes voided entirely.
As Manitoba's only authorized Generac dealer for air-cooled, liquid-cooled, and diesel standby generators, Electric 2000 is also the only company in the province that can perform authorized Generac warranty service. That means wherever you are in Manitoba, we're your warranty provider.
We've been serving Winnipeg and Manitoba since 1998. Our electricians are factory-trained on Generac products and stay current with Generac's technical training requirements. When we install your generator, we do it right, and we stand behind it.
Generac Standby Generators We Carry and Install
Air-Cooled Standby Generators
Air-cooled Generac units are the most popular choice for Winnipeg homeowners. The NexGen Series ranges from 10 kW to 28 kW and connects directly to your home's existing natural gas or propane supply. It installs outdoors — similar in footprint to a central air conditioner — and starts automatically within seconds of a power outage. No extension cords, no running outside in a Manitoba winter. It just works.
Air-cooled generators are well-suited for most residential applications: keeping your furnace, sump pump, refrigerator, lighting, and other essentials running during an outage.

Liquid-Cooled Standby Generators
For larger homes, acreages, light commercial properties, or situations requiring extended heavy-load operation, liquid-cooled Generac units offer higher output and greater durability under sustained use. These systems are more robust than air-cooled units and are designed for applications where you can't afford downtime.
Electric 2000 handles the full installation scope for liquid-cooled systems, including load calculations, composite pad, fuel connection, electrical integration, and automatic transfer switch.

Diesel Standby Generators
Not every Manitoba property has access to natural gas. For rural acreages, farms, remote commercial sites, and properties outside the gas grid, diesel Generac generators are a reliable and practical solution.
Diesel units are also common in commercial and industrial applications where fuel storage on-site is already standard practice. If natural gas or propane isn't the right fit for your property, we'll assess your needs and size the right diesel unit.

Automatic Transfer Switches — Included with Every Installation
Every Generac standby generator we install is paired with an automatic transfer switch (ATS). The ATS is what makes a standby generator truly automatic: it monitors your incoming power continuously and, when it detects an outage, signals the generator to start and transfers your electrical load within seconds.
When utility power returns, the ATS transfers back automatically and shuts the generator down. You don't need to be home. You don't need to do anything. The system handles it.
We install transfer switches in compliance with Manitoba Hydro requirements and current Manitoba electrical code. All permits are handled by our team.
